Program Description
The Medial Office Management/Administration program is designed to train individual those want to work in any Medical or medical related business offices, such as health insurance corporations. The program provides a wide variety of skills; those are essentials in today’s workplace. The graduate will learn how to deal with day-to-day operations of any Medical or medical related business offices.
The curriculum includes Insurance Procedures, Medical Coding & Billing, and Medical Office Management, Computerized Medical Office Procedure, Microsoft Office, and Interpersonal skills, Customer Service, Business Writing and Business Mathematics.
The program prepares graduates to gain an employment as Medical Office Administrator,
Customer Service in Medical Office, Insurance & Billing specialist, and Medical Coder.
The students will qualify to take Certification exam and become Certified Insurance & Coding Specialist.
Course Content
MOA100: Introduction to Computers and Keyboarding/Typing

This course is designed to introduce to the students to the use of a Personal Computer (PC). It will give the student a clear understanding of computer functions and tasks within the Windows environment. Topics include: Windows 98/XP/2000 Operating systems; components of the workstation; identifying part of a window and dialog box; managing files; customizing programs.
The course teaches the student keyboarding, stressing both speed and accuracy. Projects include: business letters, styles, forms, reports, manuscripts, tabulations and rough drafts.
MOA110 Microsoft WORD
(60 Instruction Hour)
This is a comprehensive course in the use of one of the premier word processing applications used in business today. Student will gain hands-on training in creating, editing, saving and printing documents; character paragraph formatting, enhancing text; and spell check. Some of the projects are comprised of: Creating a Research Paper and Creating a Mail Merge Document.
