Course Content AA150 Computer Literacy and Windows 98/2000/XP (30 Instruction Hours) This course is designed to introduce the student to the use of Personal Computers (PC). It will give the student a clear understanding of computer functions and tasks within the Windows environment. Topics include: Windows98/2000/XP operating systems; components of the computers and their functions; identifying the configuration options in Windows operating systems; familiarity with Windows dialog box; managing files and folders; customizing Windows; maintaining your computer; and working with Windows programs. AA250 Microsoft Word 2003 (66 Instruction Hours) This is a comprehensive course in the use of one of the premier word processing applications used in business today. Microsoft Word allows you to create professional looking documents; letters, resumes reports, brochures, and advertisements. Students will gain hands-on experience in creating, editing, saving and printing documents; character and paragraph formatting; enhancing text; and spell check. Topics include: creating multi-column documents; headers and footers; importing graphics; merging documents; creating toolbars; working with clip-art; and creating tables.
